Don’t Check Your Freezer


Not 

    under 

any 

      circumstances.

Sure, 

                                                   check

the raven 

                 in the mirror.

Even leave your house.

But NEVER check your freezer.


There’s probably a 

dead raven in there.

which distracts from the 

hot pocket, anyway.

even if you had one. (1)


Ravens exchange gifts

with humans

talk too


But a Raven itself

is not a gift

but an omen that may

come true


Sometimes…

       it is The Raven 

                 in the mirror that speaks

              what not,

                 we should do. 

                                       lest we forget, The Raven is you.
